  1. [Dec 2] HW 6 solutions are now available.
    Here are sample questions for regression taken from the final in WI 2006 given by other instructor. Actual exam questions may be different from the sample questions.
  2. [Nov 29] The final will be given on Dec 4 (Mon) from 11:30am to 1:18pm.
    It will cover Chapter 8 and Chapter 12 (12.1-12.5) with more emphasis on regression.
    Make sure to bring your calculator and TWO standard sized sheets of notes (front and back) to the exam.
    The instructor will hold office hours (10:30am-11:18am) before your final on Dec 4th.
  3. [Nov 26] HW 5 was returned on Nov 22. The due date for HW 6 has been postponed to Dec 1 (Fri).
  4. [Nov 20] Midterm 2 has been returned.
  5. [Nov 9] Solutions for the sample midterm 2 have been posted.
  6. [Nov 8] HW 4 was returned.
  7. [Nov 6] The second midterm will be given in class on Nov 13 (Mon).
    It will cover t-statistic in Section 7.3, Section 7.4 and Chapter 8 (some concepts not covered in class such as z-test and power will not be in the test).
    The same exam rule applies: bring your calculator and one standard sized sheet of notes (front and back) to the exam.
    The instructor will hold office hours (10:30-11:18am) on Monday before Midterm 2.

  14. [Oct 13] A sample test has been posted on Notes webpage. It was the midterm given in WI 2006 by other instructor. Beware that the actual midterm can be quite different from the sample test.
  15. [Oct 9] The first midterm will be given in class on Oct 18 (Wed). It will cover Chapter 6 through Section 7.3. Bring your calculator and one standard sized sheet of notes (front and back) to the exam.
