Research
My research interests lie in nonparametric function estimation, reproducing kernel Hilbert space methods in particular, classification, and statistical learning. I am interested in developing methods and computational tools to cope with problems which feature a vast amount of data and complex underlying mechanism and working on related applications. The objective of my current research is to enhance our statistical understanding of machine learning methods and their computation, and improve their interpretability and effectiveness. For this, my current research projects focus on feature selection, model selection, and their ramifications for high dimensional data analysis.
