I teach and conduct research at the Ohio State University.

I got a Ph.D., advised by Prof. Bin Yu, from University of California, Berkeley in 2005. From 1993 to 2000, I studied probability, statistics, and financial math in Peking University, China.

My research is focused on data mining and statistical learning, statistical methodology and computation on big data, and applications of statistics in environmental science, geosciences, social network and human health.
