The SSES Program is sponsoring a
Discussion Group on Paleoclimate Data and Models during Winter
Quarter 2012. The format for the discussion group will be a mix of
tutorials, discussions of journal articles, and informal presentations

In Spring 2009, the Wexner Center for the Arts at OSU curated the exhibition,
"Synchronous Objects for One Flat Thing, reproduced." The objects
are virtual displays of
the modern-dance piece, "One Flat Thing, reproduced," choreographed
by William Forsythe. One of the objects,
"Statistical Counterpoint,"
was created by Noel Cressie, Hyowon Ban, Ola Ahlqvist, and the
Synchronous Objects team.

of participants' research. The research presentations will be for the
most part given by researchers from across campus who will share their
