Catherine Calder was born in Evanston, IL . She obtained a BA in
Mathematics from Northwestern University in 1999. In 2001 and 2003
respectively, she received an MS and a PhD in Statistics from the
Institute of Statistics and Decision Sciences at Duke University. She
also received a Certificate in Ecology from the University Program in
Ecology at Duke in 2003. As of Autumn quarter 2003, she is an
Assistant Professor in the Department of the Statistics at The Ohio State
University.
Her research interests include spatial and spatio-temporal statistics,
Bayesian modeling, stochastic computation, and the applications of
statistics to environmental and ecological problems.
