Short Course Main Topics
|
|
Short Course participants were requested to have at least a Masters (or
equivalent) degree in Statistics; no prior knowledge of Bayesian or
hierarchical statistics was assumed. The Short Course topics
included the motivation for hierarchical models, simple tutorial
examples, implementation details, and multi-level hierarchical models
for processes distributed in time, space, and space-time. Examples
were taken from the environmental sciences. Course participants
received handouts supplementing the topics covered. An outline

details.

Fee
|
|
The fee for the short course was $200, and included course materials
and refreshments at break time. A reduced fee of $100 was
available for participants certified to be full-time students.
