IISA 2011 Meeting

Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University (NCSU, http://www.ncsu.edu) is planning to host the 2011 IISA Conference from April 21-24, 2011 at Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The objective of the conference is to bring together both well established and emerging young researchers from around the world who are actively pursuing theoretical/methodological research in statistics and their applications in various fields. The conference aims to provide a forum for leading experts and young researchers to discuss recent progress in statistical theory and applications, thereby provide new directions for statistical inferenc in various fields. The conference will include plenary, invited and topic contributed sessions. Further details regarding the conference will be made available as soon as the conference website is created. The organizers of the symposium are Sujit Ghosh and Subhashis Ghoshal, both from the NC State University. For more information, please contact:

The International Indian Statistical Association is a non-profit organization. Its objectives are:

  • to promote education, research and application of statistics and probability throughout the world with a special emphasis on the Indian subcontinent;
  • to foster the exchange of information and scholarly activities between various countries as well as among other national/international organizations for the development of Statistical Science;
  • to serve the needs of young statisticians;
  • to encourage cooperative efforts among members in education, research, industry and business.
