A note on the two time series courses:
The Department of Statistics plans to offer two time series courses during the 2012-2013 academic year:
- Statistics 6550,
The Statistical Analysis of Time Series, will be offered
during the Autumn 2012 semester. This is a graduate-level Statistics
course that requires graduate-level preparation in mathematical
statistics (at the level of Stat 6201, 6302 (623), or 6802 (622)) as
well as graduate-level preparation in regression analysis (at the level
of Stat 6450 (645) or 6950). A description of the course can be found
here.
- Statistics 5550, Introductory Time Series Analysis, will be offered during the Spring 2013 semester. This course is intended for undergraduate students who have preparation in Statistics at the level of our Undergradate Minor program (i.e., Stat 4202 (421) and 5302 (530)) and for graduate students in disciplines outside of Statistics who have equivalent preparation. A description of the course can be found here.
