3/8 There will be additional office hours on Monday, March 15th from 2:30-4:30pm.

3/8 The final exam will be given on Wednesday, March 17th from 1:30-3:18pm in CH312 (our classroom).
- Please remember to bring a CALCULATOR. A formula sheet (two sides of an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper) that you make is optional.
3/8 We will NOT grade the questions from section 7.1 on Homework #8. This material will appear on the final exam.

3/8 If you missed a point on Homework #7 problem 5.33c, you will receive an extra point. The correct way to do the problem is in Hongfei's solutions, but since the answer in the back of the book used the normal approximation (which is not a good approximation), we will not take off points for this part of the question.

3/3 Homework #8 is posted and is due Friday, March 12th.

2/23 Homework #7 is posted and is due Monday, March 1st.

2/18 Midterm Solutions: midterm_sol.PDF. Please submit any regrade requests by next Friday, Feb. 27.

2/13 Homework #6 has been posted. It is due Monday, Feb. 23rd.

2/6 Reminder: The MIDTERM will be next Friday, Feb. 13th, during lecture.
- Please remember to bring a CALCULATOR. A formula/notes sheet (one side of an 8.5 X 11 sheet of paper) that you make is optional.
- A practice exam (PracMidterm.PDF) is available along with solutions to it (PracMidterm_sol.PDF). This exam was given last quarter in Statistics 528 and the problems are similar to the ones that will be on your exam. Remember that not all of the material that we have covered is tested on this practice exam and additional topics can and will appear on your exam.
2/4 The solutions to HW #3 and the HW #5 assignment have been posted. Be sure to download the datasets for three of the HW #5 problems from the course website - the links to the datasets are with the information on HW #5 on the Homework page. These data sets are NOT available on the text's CD-ROM or on the publisher's website.

1/28 The MIDTERM is now officially scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13th.

1/28 The solutions to HW #2 and the HW #4 assignment have been posted.

1/20 NEW OFFICE HOURS: Hongfei's Thursday morning office hours will be from 9-9:48am rather than from 9:30-10:18am. Her Tuesday morning office hours will still be from 9:30-10:18am.

1/16 Reminder: there will be no class or office hours on Monday, Jan. 29 in observance of the MLK holiday.

1/16 Homework 2 is posted and is next Friday, Jan. 23.

1/9 I checked with OIT and the computer labs on campus are still using Minitab Version 13 (the same version we are using in class).

1/7 The first homework assignment is now available - click on the homework link on the left to go to the page where you can download it.

1/5 The textbook is on reserve at the Science and Engineering Library.
