We hope that you continue
to find our quarterly
newsletter helpful and informative. With several important deadlines
for grant application fast approaching, we would like to invite
you to utilize the resources that the Biostatistics Program can
provide in preparing such proposals. We can provide assistance
in the areas of study design, sample size determination, and
planning the type of data analysis to be performed. Since
sample size determination cannot be made until the investigator
has confirmed the study design and analysis to be performed,
we think that involving biostatisticians early in the proposal
development process will be beneficial in obtaining funding. This
will also aid in conducting the studies once they are approved and
in analyzing the resulting data upon study completion.
