The Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University
anticipates one tenure track position beginning September 2010.
A Ph. D. in statistics or biostatistics and demonstrated excellence
in teaching and research are required. Candidates should have an
interest in methodological research with application to biomedical
sciences. Many opportunities for interaction with biological,
medical and computational scientists exist on campus, including
through the NSF funded Mathematical Biosciences Institute.
Excellent start-up packages are provided that include necessary
computational support and reduced teaching and service duties
for the first three years for entry level Assistant Professors.

Faculty Position in Mathematical Biology
The Ohio State University
The Ohio State University invites applications for a
tenure-track position in Mathematical Biology in the College of
Arts and Sciences. The position will be jointly appointed in the
Department of Mathematics or Statistics and an appropriate biological
sciences department. Departmental appointments will be based on
the candidate’s specialization and preference. The appointee
will be part of a growing faculty in the area of mathematical
biology at Ohio State with opportunities to participate in the
NSF-funded Mathematical Biosciences Institute. Preference will
be given to applicants at the assistant professor level, but more
senior applicants may also be considered.
