The OSU Statistics Department has twenty-nine full-time faculty members. Research interests encompass virtually all major areas of statistics. Graduates have been employed by a wide range of companies and academic institutions.

The department offers four graduate degrees: M.A.S., M.S., Ph.D., and an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Biostatistics. The department also offers Graduate Minors in Statistics, Undergraduate Minor in Statistics, and Graduate Interdisciplinary Specializations.

The department has various computer facilities, and also maintains a full time consulting service.

We host visiting faculty from around the world. Visitors have come from as far afield as Australia, China, Denmark, England, India, Japan, Korea and Russia. The visitors, who typically stay between two and nine months, add to the research environment and expertise of the department.

The Department runs a weekly statistics colloquium and a bi-weekly biostatistics colloquium series.
