I am a professor in the Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University. I am also currently the director of the Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE), an associate director of the Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI), and director of the INitiative for QUantitative Education Research Infrastructure (INQUERI).

My research interests include the statistical analysis of nucleotide sequences and phylogenetic trees, simulation-based estimation, statistical education, modeling biological phenomena, and problems in neuro-oncology.
